Average Human Deaths Per
Year:
#1 - Snakes (100,000 people a year!!)
(Australia - though 3000 people are bitten a year, medial help and Antivenin
saves all but 2 to 3 people a year)
(North America - 5000 people a year get bitten, few actual deaths)
(Miscellaneous - 40,000 deaths a year)
(Asia and India - 10,000 Cobra deaths a year)
(Asia & Africa - Sawscale Viper kills 50,000 a year)
#2 -Bees & Wasps (10,000 people year)
#3 - Crocodiles (2000 a year)
(12 people have died in Florida (U.S.) in the last 50 years)
(1000 a year in Australia)
(1000 a year in Africa)
#4 - Scorpions (500 a year)
#5 - Elephants (130 a year! 120 in Asia alone!!)
(Hippos were mentioned but though meaner than elephants, don't kill nearly
as many people)
#6 - Big Cats (Over 80 a year)
#7 - Jellyfish
(55 a year)
#8 - Hyenas (50 North Africans a year)
#9 - Sharks (8 a year - Florida is No.1 in
the world for danger)
#10 - Bears (6 a year)
In my personal opinion,
if we had 2 billion humans swimming in the ocean instead of stomping around
on land, I think the shark/bee numbers would be reversed.
Top Disease Carriers
1 Mosquitoes (They kill a million people a year with Malaria)
2 Bed Bugs
3 Parasitic Worms
4 Tsetse Fly (Sleeping Sickness)
5 Fleas (Plague)
Strange Note: There has
never been one confirmed account of Piranhas eating a person. They simply
don't attack people.
